There are two Explorer groups in Marple, with both proving to be equally popular as Scouts make their transition from being properly looked after to actually having to take care of themselves! Both groups meet on a weekly basis, with the Original Explorers on Mondays, and Combs Explorers (twitter) on Wednesdays, from 20.00 – 22.00.
Many of the activities the Explorers do are chosen by themselves, including Mountain Biking, Night Hikes, Climbing and other adventurous pursuits, and of course there are plenty of opportunities to get out camping too, with annual Easter and Summer Camps, as well as regular visits to Cumberland Cottage and Boarfold.

On Sunday evening, leaders sorted canvas and other bits and pieces. Tonight all the bags were dropped off ready to throw on the coach tomorrow afternoon. Meet at the Scout Hut at 15:30 for a 16:00 departure. See you there campers!
