There are two Scout troops in Marple, with Kinder (twitter) meeting at the Scout Hut on Tuesdays, and Cobden (twitter) on Thursdays, from 19.30 – 21.00.
There is currently a waiting list for both – sign up via the join form to be added to it.
Whilst both troops meet up separately, there are many activities that they do together – with the annual Easter Camp and Summer Camps a particular highlight, as well as Gang Show, joint walking days (and nights) and other ad hoc activities.
They also face off against each other in the Ian Corbishley Battle of Marple (twitter), when they compete at various challenges across a whole weekend before having a final assault course to decide which troop has bragging rights for the next year!

The scouts’ efforts for kit inspection – not quite the military precision we were hoping for, but at least they seemed vaguely organized?! And it’s a tearful train station farewell to Hoggy – have fun at Leeds Fest! The scouts are already missing your right-arm medium-fast swing bowling!?
It’s Woodmas Day on site in Torbay!
