Network - Explorer Football Preview 2008

Venue: Brabyns
Date: Saturday, 1 November Kick-off: 11:30 GMT
Coverage: Live commentary on your phone if you are lucky enough to get through to someone on the sideline.

Andy Makin could start in the final game of his network career in the upcoming fixture against the explorers, before his retirement next month.

Binks (ankle) is the only real injury worry for network in a side likely to be dominated with debutants. With the Williams Twins likely to absent (Plymouth) and Humpherson, Beachy (both uni) and Greevy (work) the only other absentees.

The world's media are being kept in the dark about what the kind of team the explorers will be fielding.

Network(from): Makin, Buckley, T Ridgeway, Sanchez, Thorpe, Nolan, Findlow, M Ridgeway, Ashworth, Saunders, Hibbs, Jones, Williams, Wilson, I Ridgway

The Explorers are keen to avoid a 3rd successive loss to network in this competition and will be chasing their first win since the competition began in 2006.

Meanwhile Network will be eager to better their double figured goal tally in last seasons corresponding fixture (11-2 in 2007).

The Explorers would be happy with a game like the 2005 fixture (4-3) where they missed out on a point though bad luck.

Distance between the clubs: 6 ft (2 meters)

Andy MAKIN will be retiring shortly after this fixture and will sign for Old Boys FC on non-contract terms.

Match Referee Thomas TOGNARELLI has played in this fixture in the past and was a key member in the competitions foundation.

If Selected:-

Tom SAUNDERS, Ollie HIBBS, Graham JONES, Dan WILLIAMS, Matt WILSON and Ian RIDGWAY will be playing their first matches in network colours.

Mark RIDGWAY will be playing on his 20th birthday.
