Kinder Walk and PL’s Expedition

This weekend we have taken the scouts up into the peak district, and were treated with bright sunshine and beautiful views.

We met 16 scouts bright and early at 8:45am at Marple Station, from which we jumped on a train to Edale. From where we climbed Kinder Scout on the Jacobs Ladder path. Once we reached the top we split into two groups with the PL’s going on the longer route via Kinder Downfall before looping back to descend down Grindsbrook . With the younger scouts taking a shorter route, so they could catch their train back.

The PL’s then camped overnight in Edale and then headed up on the Sunday to Mam Tor and Rushup Edge, to complete their expedition challenge. Before heading back down to Edale to catch the train home, to recover from the weekend!

Well done to all scouts who came, we hope you had fun! Below are a few photo’s taken over the weekend.
