About

Marple is the home of a thriving scouting community with two Beaver colonies, four Cub-Scout packs, and two Scout Troops. It also hosts the Marple Sub-Sections, with one Explorer Group and a Network Unit attached.

It’s been the home of scouting since 1908, and there have been several changes throughout the years.

We have a large Scout-hut in the centre of Marple (available for bookings) which is well-used by all sorts of groups in the day, and by the Scouts / Cubs in the evenings.

You can help support the Scout Group by visiting the annual Marple Gang Show, which we take part in with the Marple Girl Guides (and which is the only non-county show to achieve Red-Necker fame!), going down to the Brabyns bonfire, or buying plants through us in Spring.

When we meet (always at Marple Scout Hut):

Beavers: Monday, Tuesday (18:00)
Cubs: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (18:30 / 18:45)
Scouts: Tuesday, Thusday (19:30)
Explorers: Monday (20:00)
Network: Wednesday (20:00)

Where we meet:

Marple Scout Hut, Memorial Park, Marple
